Nothing better than getting 3 stories in 1 book!  All three stories are tied to a wonderful Italian Bakery at the corner of Pumpkin and Spice in a small village in Maine. The first story introduces you to the Bakery and the two women than run it. The second and third stories introduces you to some of the patrons to the Bakery and how the Bakery fits into and changes their lives.

Beautifully written, this was a fun and easy fast read. I fell in love with the characters and wanted to continue reading more about this magical place. It’s the type of story, that after reading, makes your heart smile.

I definitely recommend this book.  It’s a great Halloween read but can be read any time of the year. I will be reading more from these authors!

Thank you #netgalley and #donnakauffman for giving me the privilege to read this wonderful book!

This is a true story based on one woman’s, the authors, trek through the intimidating, confusing, heartbreaking and difficult world of being the central caretaker for a parent.  With brutal honesty she tells the story of the emotional ups and downs of this extremely difficult task. You will feel her anger, frustration, heartbreak and vulnerability. This story also delves into the toxic people that may be in your own life and sometimes one of those toxic people may be a family member.

Erina Bridget Ring has written a beautiful and truly difficult story of what it’s like to be the main caregiver for a parent. As you read the pages, you can feel the healing that went on with her as she wrote the pages.

I highly recommend this book!  This book evokes so many emotions and trust me when I say, there were several times this book brought me to tears having lost my father a year ago. My advice, get this book, you’ll be happy you did!

Review of Pride, Prejudice and Poison by Elizabeth Blake

Pride, Prejudice and Poison is an enjoyable cozy mystery that will have you guessing until the end. The story takes place in Kirkmoorsby England which seems to be a very quaint little village where not much happens. The stories main character is a rare bookshop owner and an apparent amateur sleuth. The village is comprised of common English folk. The majority of people that live there apparently all belong to The Jane Austen Society. Very early in the story, the president of the society is poisoned and the number of suspects are many.

Elizabeth Blake’s storyline and telling will keep the reader interested and entertained. I found the book easy to read and enjoyable. I like the characters and the way she developed them.

I would recommend this book to my friends that enjoy cozies.

Review of What She Saw by Sara McFerrin

What She Saw is a wonderfully written Trunk Doctor Mystery. Jix Haynes is the Trunk Doctor. She restores old trunks to like new condition. A particular trunk, one where the customer paid extra to have moved to the front of the line is filled with old family heirlooms, but the most intriguing thing in the trunk is a diary.  Jix starts reading the diary and realizes she has come upon an old long held secret, and a wrong that needs to be corrected. As a Jix and her friend Abby Gayle start to delve into the mystery and story within the diary the more twists and turns the story takes.

Sara McFerrin has written a great mystery with twists and turns you don’t see coming. It’s beautifully written and an easy read. Enjoyable and entertaining all the way through. You can’t help but love the characters Sara has created.

I truly enjoyed this book. I recommend this book and series!

Review of The Winemaker’s Wife by Kristin Harmel

The Winemaker’s Wife is a fantastic work of Historical Fiction going from the late 1930’s and mid 1940’s while also visiting the present. The story takes you to the vineyards of France during the occupation by the Germans, the story of those who worked for the French Resistance and those who collaborated with the Germans. It’s a story of a woman who spent her whole life trying to atone for mistakes she made in her youth. There are twists and turns within this story you never see coming.

Kristin Harmel has written an intriguing and beautiful story of love and heartbreak, trust and betrayal, and a definition of family that is not necessarily tied by blood. The writing is exceptional and all encompassing as you live the story.

I absolutely loved this story and can’t recommend it highly enough. If you love historical fiction, if you love an extremely engaging and wonderful storyline full of twists, turns and intrigue this is a MUST read!

Review of Breakfast with the FBI by Erina Bridget Ring

What would you do if you were to find irregularities while balancing out accounts at the bank you work for? Well for Rose Ryan, she went to the police who ended up passing the information over to the FBI. Next thing Rose knows she’s having breakfast with the FBI the very next morning. The FBI recruits Rose to work undercover for them and collect information on an embezzling scheme that ends up being much more dangerous and more wide spread than you can imagine.

Knowing that this story was based off true events makes this story even more impressive. Rose is a true hero! If you believe in integrity, doing a job to the best of your ability and honesty, then this is definitely the story for you.

Erina Bridget Ring has written a wonderful story that will keep you engaged. It’s a short story and able to be read in one setting.

I truly enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more of Erina’s books.
